1) To give
you a big break, I am making the term paper optional. That is, you do
not have to do it, if you don't wish to. However, if you would still
like to do the paper then after you have carefully read the instructions
for it, send me an e-mail with this statement: "I have diligently read,
understood, and agree to abide by all the instructions for the term
paper." If you do not send me an e-mail with this statement, your paper
will be rejected. The instructions for the term paper are available here.

Mid-term grades will be posted as satisfactory (MS) or unsatisfactory
(MU) based on Test 2 scores only to help motivate some of you to change
the trajectory of your test grades--if necessary.
4) Test 2 scores from yesterday--together with an indication of who downloaded the homework--have been posted (link on the left). 5) Test 1 retake scores have been posted. (Yes, the retake only was optional as per announcements).

7) This is an intellectually simple course, but you have to put in the time to do your homework--which is not that much compared to your other classes--however, some of you are not doing it. 8) This course is not just about grades.
